Hello family and friends,

As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome when I was four years old. My mom, and many moms like her, had to fight to get the pediatrician to do testing. I was very short for my age and my mom knew there was something going on. When she asked the doctor, her response was “She’s fine. She’s just going to be little.”  I didn’t present with classic Turner characteristics and went without testing that I should have had at birth.

I am participating in this walk for awareness so that future Butterflies (that's our symbol!) can get diagnosed earlier and, as a result, live longer, healthier lives.

Please help me and my fellow Butterfly sisters get better access to care and better education for the doctors that care for us!

Thank you ,

Lea
